Karmen
A wife and mom of 2 boys, Karmen has been in the industry for over 14 years and became our salon owner in 2022. Her education includes several advanced classes including precision cuts, balayage and lived-in looks, she is certified in Brazilian Blowouts, and she even flew to Ireland for a master wedding styles class. Though she loves every aspect of colors, cuts, and styling hair, she specializes in lived-in color and gray transitions to create low-maintenance masterpieces. Her passion ignites when she gets to truly transform a client’s hair from start to finish. However, her heart is happiest when she’s helping others, from helping clients find their ideal look to helping fellow stylists grow their skills and businesses behind the chair. In 2023 she started working with her first apprentice and is excited to watch her learn and grow in the industry.
Mindy
Mindy has been styling hair for over 20 years, a salon owner for 7, and a mama of 2 phenomenal little ones. As many things in life have changed, her love of doing hair has stayed the same. She has traveled to several different states and countries for additional education including, but not limited to, Ireland, California, New York, and Florida. She specializes in color, blondes, and smoothing treatments.
Ashley
Ashley has been in the business for over 10 years. She's attended several hair shows and advanced classes for wedding styles, cuts and colors, with her favorites being balayage and weddings. “You know you've gotten a really good hair color/cut when strangers stop and ask you who your stylist is. That's my goal for every client, to feel as beautiful outside the salon as they do when they leave my chair."
brianna
Having grown up in Williamsburg, she loves to travel and see the world but ultimately loves where she calls home. She’s been married for 8 years to the love of her life and has three amazing children. Ever since she was little, she wanted to be a hairstylist and jumped at the opportunity to start her cosmetology education in high school. The first thing she told her teacher was that she wanted to learn updos. The art of up-styling and helping create the magic of someone’s special day absolutely fascinated her. It’s been one of her main passions in the hair industry and even lead her all the way to Ireland to study under a leading wedding hair educator. Now in the industry for 16 years, she loves to create design cuts and lived-in color for low maintenance, lasting looks. She loves what she does, the people she's met and the relationships she’s built with her clients. Sharing stories, connecting worlds, watching kids grow up, and making someone feel beautiful: it’s a dream come true.
Jenna
Originally from Ohio, Jenna brings 20 years of experience in the industry to Sparrow & Grace. She enjoys working with all lengths and textures of hair, but especially enjoys creating haircuts with lots of layers and texture. As for coloring, she enjoys gray blending, and styles with natural, dimensional tones, to create low maintenance looks for her clients. Jenna truly cares for each person that sits down in her chair, and desires for each one to leave feeling and looking their best. As a military wife and mom of 3, she enjoys spending time with her family more than anything. She loves all things creative - art, photography, piano, design; as well as game nights and nature walks with her family.
emily
Emily is our wonderful apprentice. She became part of our salon family in 2015 as an assistant, getting to know the salon inside and out. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing one of her amazing shampoo services, you’ll know how incredibly gifted she is! After a brief hiatus, she came back in 2021 as our salon manager and officially started her cosmetology apprenticeship in 2023 to further her career in the hair industry. She plans to graduate and officially become a licensed stylist by the beginning of 2025. She has always had a passion for hair and can't wait to see you in her chair!
Deana
Deana is our amazing receptionist and the first smiling face you see when you walk through our doors. She has been married to her loving husband for 36 years and is a mom to 3 daughters. Her greatest joy in life is being a “Mimi” to her 5 grandchildren. She has been working in the hair industry for over 17 years and joined the Sparrow & Grace team in 2020. She is genuine, friendly, and works effortlessly to help everyone she can, both client and stylist alike.
